Tree Trimming

Tree trimming is an important service offered by LJEC. Trees interfering with power lines is a major source of line loss and outages, which costs the cooperative money. We are constantly trimming back trees that are either very near or interfering with LJEC lines.

Ever year, inevitably heavy snow and/or ice cause tree limbs to break and fall on our lines and causing outages. Sometimes these outages are widespread and take a considerable amount of time to repair. It is important that trees be trimmed back away from power lines properly.

If you have trees on your property that are either near or touching LJEC lines, please print and submit a Tree Triming Consent Form and we will trim the trees out of our lines. (LJEC will only trim trees that are on the primary side of the meter.)
